John Lynch was a detective with the Vallejo Police Department who interviewed Arthur Leigh Allen on October 6, 1969, after Allen was reported near the scene of the Lake Berryessa attack. Allen told Lynch he had intended to go to Lake Berryessa but changed his mind and went scuba diving at Salt Point State Park instead.
